Committees
The Student Government Association has four internal legislative committees with the purpose of handling internal SGA business.
When the Student Government Association believes that an issue affecting students merits special attention by the Association, external committees may be formed to include the student body at large of other university stakeholders.
Internal Committees

Executive
The Executive Committee makes legislative assignments to the internal committees (similar to the method used by the Academic Senate), as well as making decisions about how legislation is to be processed, personnel matters, emergency financial and operational decisions, and other items as assigned by the Assembly.

Civic Engagement
The Civic Engagement Committee is responsible for community outreach, political engagement, and raising civic awareness on campus.

Finance and Allocation
The Finance and Allocations Committee is responsible for reviewing funding requests, overseeing fundraising efforts, and performing other duties as assigned by the Assembly.

Membership and Outreach
The Membership and Outreach Committee is responsible for:
- providing oversight for all on-going and new SGA programs
- passisting with the coordination and execution of all ongoing SGA programs
- reviewing, researching, and preliminarily confirming presidential appointments for legislative vacancies, and other appointments
- recommending membership appointments to the SGA Assembly
- assisting with the recruitment and selection of candidates for all appointed positions

Policies and Procedures
The Policies and Procedures Committee is responsible for:
- reviewing proposed revisions to the SGA Constitution and SGA Bylaws and recommending changes to the Assembly
- making interpretive recommendations to the Assembly when discrepancies arise in the governing documents
- preliminarily approving all special rules of order
- reviewing various University policies and procedures prior to their coming to the full Assembly for approval
- reviewing legislation after it is passed to ensure it aligns with the SGA Constitution and the SGA Bylaws

Fee Board
The Fee Board is a panel of students who review and approve RSO funding requests according to university guidelines.

Sustainability
The sustainability committee educates students on environmental stewardship and encourage sustainable lifestyles. In collaboration with the Office of Sustainability, this committee oversees large sustainability initiatives budget.

Diversity Affairs
The diversity affairs committee promotes awareness and education when identifying possible diversity-related issues on campus. The committee strives to build a coalition of student groups to ensure the voices of all communities are heard to administrators and Student Government leaders.
